Terms of Use & Refund Policy
These terms cover the Weapon Wheel app for macOS and the website at weaponwheel.com, both provided by Smonkey LLC, a Delaware limited liability company ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app you agree to them. They are written to be read, not to trap you.
1. The app and the license
- Weapon Wheel is free to use. The free tier has limits (for example on the number of wheels and slice layouts) and does not run script actions. Every new install includes a 7-day trial of everything in Pro; no card, no account.
- Pro is a one-time purchase. It is a license, not a subscription: there is no renewal and nothing to cancel.
- A Pro license is for you, on the Macs you use. Do not publish, resell or share your key.
- You may not reverse-engineer, tamper with, or redistribute the app, and you may not use it to break the law or someone else's rights.
- The app, its design and its name are ours. Your wheels, macros, snippets and scripts are yours.
2. Scripts and macros run at your own risk
Weapon Wheel does what you tell it to: it launches apps, sends keystrokes, pastes text, flips system settings and, on Pro, runs shell commands and AppleScript that you wrote or imported. A wheel can therefore do anything you can do at the keyboard, including things you would rather not have done. You are responsible for what your wheels do and for reviewing any wheel you import from someone else. The app warns before running imported wheels that contain code.
3. Updates and requirements
The app requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or newer. Updates are delivered through the app's built-in updater when we release them; we aim to keep improving Weapon Wheel but do not promise particular features or timelines.
4. Refunds
- If Pro is not for you, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase with the email address you used at checkout. We refund in full, no questions asked, and the refund is issued through Polar to your original payment method.
- After 14 days, write to us anyway if something is broken; we would rather fix it than argue about it.
- Purchases are processed by Polar as merchant of record, so Polar's terms also apply to the transaction itself.
5. Pricing
The price shown at checkout is the price. Taxes, where applicable, are added by Polar at checkout. We may change the price of Pro for future purchases; a license you already own is not affected.
6. No warranty
Weapon Wheel is provided as is. We do not promise that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose, and we do not warrant the behaviour of third-party apps, websites or scripts your wheels invoke.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Smonkey LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including lost data or lost profits, arising from your use of the app or website. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for Pro in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 10 if you paid nothing. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; where that is the case they apply only as far as permitted.
8. Privacy
How the app and site handle data is described in the privacy policy. In short: nothing leaves your Mac except an update check, a license activation and the icons for URL slices.
9. Ending things
You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it. We may revoke a license that was obtained fraudulently or is being shared publicly. Sections 2, 6 and 7 survive.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes are resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring them locally.
11. Changes
If these terms change we update the date at the top and, for anything material, say so on the website. The current version always lives at weaponwheel.com/terms/.
